As is the case with a fingerprint, no two pieces are ever the same. Each L'empreinte mirror bears the marks of hundreds of fingerprints, as the maker's fingers run through the sand before the bronze is poured. This creates the unique and beautiful organic pattern you see on the surface, and marking each piece as truly individual.

In capturing the maker's fingerprints, the process essentially freezes time, immortalising these impressions, whilst simultaneously maintaining a sense of movement and flow.

The final piece has a tactile aesthetic, commanding the eye to glide over the piece's implicit motion. 

This substantial mirror has an extremely commanding presence, with its vast mass of polished bronze and brutalist form.
The ripples on the cast bronze surface create a movement of light which somehow softens the overall aesthetic and feel of the piece, this balance between form, mass, material and texture produces a design which is as much elegant as it is impactful.
